(AGENPARL) – MANCHESTER ven 02 giugno 2023
This event marks the second lecture in Creative Manchester’s ‘Solstice and Equinox series’, and forms part of a new series of events which brings innovative creative artists to The University of Manchester’s four Cultural Institutions.
Creative Manchester forms part of the Universities three research platforms and convenes, develops and sustains interdisciplinary research communities across The University of Manchester and Greater Manchester while raising awareness of creativity as a practice.
Each of our unique cultural institutions – the Whitworth, the John Rylands Research Institute and Library, Manchester Museum and Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre – focus on building civic, national and international partnerships to advance the social, environmental and individual wellbeing of our communities.
In this lecture Dr Broomhall describes how to use the music of the Sun to understand what happens to the solar magnetic field beneath its surface and how we can now apply these techniques to other stars to work out how typical a star our Sun actually is.
This event takes place from 7.30pm – 9pm, on Thursday 15 June 2023 in the First Light Pavilion at Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre.
Everyone is welcome to attend. You can purchase a ticket via the Jodrell Bank website.
