Spokespersons for Parliament and for political groups will hold a briefing on the 17-20 April plenary session on Friday at 11.00, in Parliament’s Anna Politkovskaya press room.
Key topics next week include:
– Debate and final vote on key laws of the “Fit for 55 package”: Emission Trading System, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, Social Climate Fund
– New law to stop EU sale of products causing deforestation: debate and final vote
– Debate on the ICC’s decision to issue an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin and on deported Ukrainian children
– Debate on the need for a coherent strategy for EU-China Relations
– Asylum and migration: MEPs to finalise stance for talks with Council
– New rules to trace crypto-asset transfers, prevent money laundering and terrorist financing
– “This is Europe” debate with Luxemburg’s Prime Minister Xavier Bettel
