Inquest Date into the Death of Ethan Allard Announced

Dr. Richard Wells, Regional Supervising Coroner for Central Region, Toronto West Office, has announced the date for the inquest into the death of Ethan Allard.
Mr. Allard, 24, died on January 16, 2017, of injuries sustained while working at a construction site in Toronto West. An inquest into his death is mandatory under the Coroners Act.
The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding Mr. Allard’s death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing future deaths from occurring in similar circumstances.
The inquest is expected to last three to four days and hear from approximately eight witnesses.
The inquest will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023. Dr. Geoffrey Bond will be the presiding officer. David Spence will be inquest counsel.
