La vittoria di Gara2 a Mandalika, ottenuta all’ultimo giro dopo una costante pressione sugli avversari, cancella il week end sfortunato di Phillip Island e ripaga Federico Caricasulo e il team Althea di tutto il lavoro fatto a partire dal primo giorno in Supersport.
Un setup perfetto ed un pilota aggressivo ma lucido sono stati la ricetta vincente di una gara perfetta la cui vittoria acquista ancora più valore per il fatto che tutti i protagonisti sono stati in gioco fino alla fine. Si tratta di un risultato ritardato dalla sfortuna ma assolutamente meritato. Da questo momento è possibile guardare il campionato con occhi diversi. Parte il conto alla rovescia per Assen!
The victory in Race2 at Mandalika, achieved on the last lap after constant pressure on the rivals, canceled the unfortunate weekend at Phillip Island and repaid Federico Caricasulo and the Althea team for all the work done starting from the first day in Supersport.
A perfect setup and an aggressive but clear-headed rider were the winning recipe for a perfect race whose victory acquires even more value due to the fact that all the protagonists were in the game until the end. It is a result delayed by bad luck but absolutely deserved. From now on it is possible to look at the championship with different eyes. The countdown to Assen starts now!
Oggi è stata una giornata al top.
Già ieri era andata bene sia in qualifica che in gara1 ma oggi siamo riusciti a fare quello step che ci serviva per giocarcela fino alla fine e vincere.
Sono contentissimo. Ci voleva perché dall’anno scorso stiamo lavorando tanto con la squadra ed era giusto che arrivasse finalmente un premio.
Adesso dobbiamo rimanere concentrati e continuare a far bene a partire da Assen.
Today was a top day.
Yesterday it had already gone well both in qualifying and in race 1 but today we managed to take the step we needed to play it to the end and win.
I’m very happy. We needed it because we’ve been working a lot with the team since last year and it was only right that an award should finally arrive.
Now we have to stay focused and continue to do well starting from Assen.
Oggi abbiamo finalmente raccolto una bellissima vittoria che ha mostrato la maturità e la lucidità di Federico e un buon assetto della moto che è quello che fa la differenza quando in pista i piloti si equivalgono nelle prestazioni. Messa a punto, atteggiamento e strategia hanno fatto la differenza.
Torniamo alla vittoria con Ducati dopo 11 anni e per me è molto eccitante vedere nuovamente il marchio Althea sul gradino più alto. Possiamo dire che è una vittoria completa e meritata perché in pista c’erano tutti i protagonisti. Faccio i complimenti a tutti i ragazzi che si sono battuti per questa vittoria. Federico è stato bravo ma abbiamo un team con un’esperienza che ci può portare lontano. Non faccio altri pronostici perchè al momento voglio soffermarmi sul fatto che, dopo un week end australiano da dimenticare, ne abbiamo uno da ricordare a lungo. Ci tengo ad esprimere tutta la mia passione per quello che stiamo facendo!
Today we finally achieved a beautiful victory that showed Federico’s maturity and lucidity and a good set-up of the bike which is what makes the difference when the riders on track are equal in performance. Setup, attitude and strategy made all the difference.
We return to victory with Ducati after 11 years and it is very exciting for me to see the Althea brand on the top again. We can say that it is a complete and deserved victory because all the protagonists were in the game. I congratulate all the guys who fought for this victory. Federico was good but we have a team with experience that can take us far. I won’t make any other predictions because at the moment I want to dwell on the fact that, after an Australian weekend to forget, we have one to remember for a long time. I want to express all my passion for what we’re doing!
