Althea and Caricasulo close to victory!
Althea Racing e Federico Caricasulo ritrovano il sorriso a Mandalika in un week end cominciato nel migliore dei modi con il secondo tempo in Superpole e una seconda posizione in Gara1. Federico, efficace e aggressivo per tutta la gara, ha chiuso ad un passo dalla vittoria dopo aver lottato giro dopo giro, grazie ad una competitività costruita sin dalle prime sessioni del week end.
Prestazioni come queste premiano il gruppo di lavoro e gettano le basi per entrare in pista con la giusta convinzione. Avere una moto a punto è importante ma è altrettanto importante avere riscontri concreti delle proprie potenzialità e del lavoro svolto. Althea Racing e Caricasulo guardano a gara2 con la certezza di poter fare un altro passo verso la vittoria.
Althea Racing and Federico Caricasulo find their smiles again in Mandalika in a weekend that started in the best way with the second lap time in Superpole and a second position in Race 1. Federico, efficient and aggressive throughout the race, finished one step away from victory after having fought lap after lap, thanks to a competitiveness built up right from the first sessions of the weekend.
Performances like these reward the team and lay the foundations for entering the track with the right conviction. Having a tuned-up bike is important but it is equally important to have concrete evidence of one’s potential and the work done. Althea Racing and Caricasulo look to race 2 with the certainty of being able to take another step towards victory.
Un week end fino ad ora positivo. Era importante riprendere fiducia dopo Phillip Island perché lì abbiamo fatto tanta fatica e abbiamo avuto diversi eventi negativi che hanno pregiudicato le nostre prestazioni.
Qui invece siamo andati bene sia in qualifica che in gara.
Per domani dobbiamo riuscire a fare un piccolo step per provare a rimanere davanti o comunque essere un po’ più competitivi da metà gara in poi, dove ci è mancato qualcosa per vincere.
A positive weekend so far. It was important to regain confidence after Phillip Island because we struggled so much there and we had several negative events that affected our performance.
Here instead we did well both in qualifying and in the race.
For tomorrow we have to be able to take a small step to try and stay ahead or in any case be a little more competitive from the middle of the race onwards, where we lacked something to win.
Oggi ho visto una bellissima gara con una prestazione molto consistente di Federico che ha fatto tutto perfettamente.
I miei complimenti a Oncu che ha fatto la differenza nei primi tre giri e poi nella parte centrale. Sono stati tutti costanti ma lui è stato molto bravo a gestire la gara.
Per quanto ci riguarda, questo è il livello che ci aspettiamo da Federico in tutte le occasioni perché correndo in questo modo si riesce a costruire una consapevolezza e una prospettiva ottimistica. Abbiamo fatto un bel lavoro e non è facile mettere insieme tutti gli elementi che servono a finire la gara al top.
Abbiamo visto infatti che anche piloti candidati al podio o alla vittoria, oggi hanno avuto difficoltà importanti.
Questo campionato è davvero di alto livello per tutta la top ten.
Vediamo la giornata di oggi come l’inizio per noi di una fase positiva in cui ce la possiamo giocare.
Come direbbero i team manager internazionali, “I’m very happy so far”!
Today I saw a great race with a very consistent performance from Federico who did everything perfectly.
My compliments to Oncu who made the difference in the first three laps and then in the central part of the race. They were all consistent but he was very good at managing the race.
As far as we’re concerned, this is the level we expect from Federico on all occasions because by racing like this you can build awareness and an optimistic outlook. We did a good job and it’s not easy to put together all the elements needed to finish the race on top.
In fact, we have seen that even riders who are candidates for the podium or for victory have had significant difficulties today.
This championship is really at a high level throughout the top ten.
We see this as the beginning of a positive phase for us in which we can play our game.
As international team managers would say, “I’m very happy so far”!
