Following the 2022 Sakharov Prize award ceremony, EP President Roberta Metsola will hold a press conference with the laureates at around 12.45 on Wednesday.
The European Parliament’s 2022 Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought has been awarded to the brave Ukrainian people. At Wednesday’s press conference, they will be represented by:
– Yuliia Paievska, founder of the evacuation medical unit “Angels of Taira”;
– Oleksandra Matviychuk, Chair of the Center for Civil Liberties;
– Ivan Fedorov, Mayor of Melitopol.
The press conference will take place at around 12.45 in Parliament’s Daphne Caruana Galizia press conference room in Strasbourg.
There will be interpretation into English, French, Ukrainian, Russian, German and Polish.
