The SES Chair of the University of Luxembourg is pleased to invite you to the concluding episode of the SES Launch Law Lecture Series! In this final instalment we have the great honor of virtually hosting Professor Setsuko Aoki, former Chair of the Legal Subcommittee of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space and Professor of Law at Keio University.
The lecture will take place on July 7th at 3:00 pm CEST in room B0001 of the Weicker Building, and will be preceded by a networking reception. Due to max capacity limitations, only attendees with proof of registration will be admitted to the venue, so

About Prof. Setsuko Aoki
Professor Setsuko Aoki is of Professor of Law at Keio University Law School, Japan. Prof. Aoki is a worldwide recognized expert in space law. Between 2019 and 2021 she served as Chair of the Legal Subcommittee of the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space. She is a Director of the International Institute of Space Law (IISL) and member of several prestigious international bodies such as the International Law Association (ILA) (Space Law Committee), the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) and the American Society of International Law. Prof. Aoki is also a member of the Committee on National Space Policy (Cabinet Office) since July 2012 and legal advisor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Japan to the Legal Subcommittee of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS) since March 2002.

The RESCOM Launch Law Lecture Series is organized by the SES Chair in Space, Satellite Communication and Media Law with the support of the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR).
