The Women’s poverty in Europe report (2021/2170(INI)), by rapporteur Lina Gálvez Muñoz (S&D), proposes measures to ensure that women’s poverty in Europe is no longer the result of a lifetime of discrimination.
FEMM Members voted also on the FEMM opinion on to the AGRI INI report on “A long-term Vision for the EU’s Rural Areas (INI) – Towards stronger, connected, resilient and prosperous rural areas by 2040”. The rapporteur for opinion is Christine Schneider (EPP).The report on Women’s poverty in Europe was adopted by 22 votes in favour, 0 against and 3 abstentions and the report on Intersectional discrimination was adopted by 21 votes in favour, 4 against and 0 abstentions. The opinion to A long-term Vision for the EU’s Rural Areas (AGRI) was adopted by 24 votes in favour, 0 against and 1 abstention.
