Amount outstanding of debt securities issued by residents in domestic market*

The overall amount outstanding of debt securities decreased by 386,2 billion rubles in April 2022 and totalled 32,7 trillion rubles as of 01.05.2022
The share of amount outstanding of debt securities in foreign currency in total outstanding amount decreased to 3,1% mostly as a result of currency revaluation and totalled 1 trillion rubles.

Amount outstanding of debt securities issued by residents in domestic market (monthly growth), bln rubles
The reduction of amount outstanding of debt securities in April 2022 was caused mostly by redemption and currency revaluation of debt securities issued by non-financial corporations (-190,7 billion rubles), other financial corporations (-95,9 billion rubles) and other depository corporations (-102 billion rubles).

As of May 1, 2022, debt securities of general government and non-financial corporations formed the largest part of debt securities issued in domestic market (16,9 and 8,8 trillion rubles, respectively).

The annual growth rate of oustanding amount of debt securities has decreased from 5,0 to 2,4% in April 2022 (lowest level since the beginning of 2014).

Long-term debt securities usually accounted the largest part of amount outstanding of debt securities and totalled 32,5 trillion rubles as of 01.05.2022 (of which 52% was general government securities and 27% non-financial corporations securities).
The largest part of amount outstanding of short-term debt securities consisted of other depository corporations debt securities (48,3%) and other financial corporations debt securities (43,3%).

The amount outstanding of listed shares decreased by 2,5 trillion rubles in April 2022 mainly due to the low of market value of shares of non-financial corporations (-2,1 trillion rubles).
