(AGENPARL) - Roma, 20 Giugno 2022(AGENPARL) – BRUXELLES lun 20 giugno 2022
At the committee meeting of 15 – 16 June 2022, in Mr. Ivan Štefanec’s absence (Rapporteur, PPE), the IMCO Chair reported back on the results of the concluding trilogue on a Customs Single Window Regulation proposal that took place on 19 May.
Ms. Cavazzini (Verts/ALE) welcomed the very balanced agreement and explained in detail the areas of the negotiating mandate where the core of the EP position was obtained in the negotiations with the Council, such as: timely implementation dates for the electronic systems that are to be part of the Single Window, governance of the whole project based on the role of a national coordinator, appropriate levels of cyber-security and of protection of data circulating through the system.
The vote in IMCO on the provisional agreement is expected to take place in July, while the final vote in plenary is expected in October 2022.
