6-8 June, Cyprus – Piero Fassino, rapporteur of the PACE Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy, will travel to Nicosia for a fact-finding visit in the context of the preparation of his report on a “Call for Famagusta’s return to its lawful inhabitants”.
7 June, Strasbourg – The European Court of Human Rights will notify in writing 23 judgments concerning Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Lithuania, the Republic of Moldova, North Macedonia, Portugal, Russia, Spain and Turkey.
7 June, Tallinn and online (2-5 p.m.) – The European Audiovisual Observatory and Estonia will organise a conference on “Creators in Europe’s Screen Sectors – Sketching Present and Future Challenges”. It will provide an overview of the current trends in the audiovisual sector which are of significance to its creative forces.
Tobias Flessenkemper, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Belgrade, Danijela Vazura, State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance of Serbia and Hakan Jevrell, Special Envoy (Ambassador at large) for Organised Crime of the Kingdom of Sweden will give introductory remarks.
9 June, Strasbourg – The European Court of Human Rights will deliver a judgment in the case of Savickis and Others v. Latvia in a public hearing (2.30 p.m.).
The case concerns the payment of employment pensions in Latvia to “permanently resident noncitizens”, which do not take into account periods worked in other Soviet Republics at the time of the occupation of Latvia by the USSR, as compared with those to Latvian citizens, which do.
9 June, Strasbourg – The European Court of Human Rights will notify in writing 96 judgments and/or decisions concerning Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Malta, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
