Better Understand Ongoing COVID Symptoms
Long COVID is the name for long-term effects that some people feel after contracting COVID-19. Also known as post-COVID or long-haul COVID, the condition includes ongoing health problems that can last weeks, months or years.
According to the CDC, people with long-COVID often have had a severe COVID-19 illness, but not always. All people who had the virus can suffer from these conditions, even those who had mild illness or no symptoms.
People who did not receive a vaccine may be at higher risk for developing long COVID.
