WOMEN’S GOLF RETURNS TO PLAY AT UT ARLINGTON INVITE

(AGENPARL) – MONROE (LOUISIANA), dom 18 ottobre 2020

MONROE, La. – For the first time in four weeks, the ULM women’s golf team is back on the course Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 19-20) at the UT Arlington Invitational at Texas Rangers Golf Club in Arlington.

Arlington Golf and the Texas Rangers partnered to build the world’s only Major League Baseball-branded golf course, which opened in February 2019. The $24 million project included a complete renovation and updated routing of an existing golf course with improved turf grasses and new water features. It is a par-72 course covering 7,010 yards.

“We’re looking forward to the tournament, hosted by UT Arlington,” ULM assistant golf coach Lana Hodge said. “The girls have had a great few weeks of practice, and I think they are ready to get back into competition mode after a few weeks off. I think we have a great opportunity ahead of us to have a great finish to the fall season.”

Junior Jahaanvie Walia, sophomore Chantal Dueringer, senior Shani White, freshman Line Petersen and junior Eva Bjornsdottir will all compete for ULM.

Walia is coming off a fourth-place finish at the Hoover Invitational in Hoover, Alabama. Walia finished the tournament with a 1-over-par 217 (72-72-73).
