Construction output volume increased by 5.0% in one year, and by 12.1% compared to the previous month
The volume of construction output in November 2020, based on raw data, surpassed the previous year’s level by 5.0%. Output increased in both main groups of construction: in the construction of buildings by 7.7%, in civil engineering by 2.2%. Based on seasonally and working day adjusted indices construction output increased by 12.1% compared to the October data, since June each month’s output was higher than the previous one’s, in November it surpassed the nadir of May by 27.3%.
In November 2020, compared to the same month of the previous year:
Output increased in both main groups of construction: in the construction of buildings by 7.7% and in civil engineering by 2.2%.
Out of the divisions of construction, output expanded by 4.7% in the construction of buildings, by 1.4% in civil engineering, and in specialised construction activities by 7.9%.
The volume of new contracts concluded increased by 55.5%, within it the volume of new contracts for the construction of buildings grew by 87.1%, the volume regarding civil engineering works rose by 35.5%.
The volume of the November end-of –month stock of contracts at construction enterprises was 2.7% higher than at the end of November 2019. The volume of contracts increased by 53.8% for the construction of buildings and decreased by 15.0% for civil engineering works compared to the previous year.
In the first eleven months of 2020, compared to the same period of the previous year:
Construction output lessened by 9.9%.
